YI+MU Fenghe Muchen and the owners of Roland Lake spent the chaotic epidemic cycle from 2021 to 2023 together. The renovation of the Lake Roland Lake Tea Room was finally completed after several shelving, and it was ranked first in the social media tea room at the beginning of its opening.
After a long period of research on the tea space, the designer made a construction between the old and new tea things: injecting a simple and free spirit and spirituality into the old building to reconnect it with the environment and time.
Avoid cumbersome and overly refined, keep it elegant and natural, let people drink tea easily, and be kind as the name suggests-“by the lake”.
Enter the north gate of Lido Garden, follow the 260-meter trail to the west and south, detour a green area, and a green lake looms in sight; walk around the lake, through several pavilions to a path more than one person wide; further deep, surrounded by midsummer plants, when the vegetation retreats behind, suddenly-on the other side of the “stream”, the tea room surfaced.
The facade of the building adopts the method of casting light and uses warm yellow light to embellish it, making the building more beautiful and atmospheric at night.
The designer opened the door on the north side of the original building, reserved the original south gate as a service entrance, and included the “ceremony of entry” as part of the tea.Everyone can only step in through exploration, and their state of mind and emotions follow the winding path to complete the journey from “hidden” to “revealed”. When they meet the space, both the visitor and the building are ready.
The tea room has undergone more than a thousand years of evolution. The face of the Chinese tea ceremony is colorful and diverse. We continue to build our own tea ceremony, but no matter which side we extend to, leisure and freedom have always been a good place for Chinese tea.
The combination of indoor lighting and interior decoration creates a unified and coordinated atmosphere.For example, irregular arrays of special-shaped wire mesh lamps hang from the empty roof, and thin grilles descend from the ceiling like a waterfall. As the background of the bar tea table, the brushstrokes are concise and powerful.
The designer carefully and carefully considered every detail.Through the clever use of different types of lamps, shades, brightness and other means to achieve the best results.
No matter in any corner of the interior, the light of nature is surging with vitality. It has become the cornerstone of space and the hope of the spirit, closely connecting buildings, people and the world.
Young tea drinkers visit the tea room in an endless stream. In addition to the excitement, the humanistic nature that belongs to the Chinese spiritual direction must also be growing.
